As a mom to two little girls, I want to do everything I can to keep them safe. We live a healthy lifestyle and I’m intensional about what I put in our food. However, I wasn’t doing the same for what we put on our skin. I couldn’t be happier to share Beautycounter’s mission and products with you.
- Your skin is your largest organ and it takes 26 seconds for the products we put on our skin to enter our blood stream.
- Even though we use a small amount of toxic chemicals on our skin every day they add up. On average, women use 12 cosmetics a day, containing 168 ingredients.
- In the US, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will develop cancer in their lifetime.
I love using Beautycounter knowing their ingredients won’t cause health harm. You’re probably thinking, well that’s great and all but do the products perform? Well, let me tell you ~ they work amazing! I’m still shocked at how much I love their make-up and skin care routine. Here are some of my favorites:
Charcoal Mask – This was actually the very first thing I tried from Beautycounter. You leave it on your face for 10 minutes and it’s equivalent to a spa grade facial. The mask is made with clay and charcoal, which gently exfoliates and draws out impurities. When it’s on your face you can see every single pore and it actually refines them and increases elasticity.
The Essential Face Collection – After using this routine, I’ve never had my skin be so free of blemishes. The cleanser has a coconut oil base, which soothes skin and naturally removes impurities. The witch hazel in it acts as a toner. I leave my exfoliator in the shower and use it twice a week. It’s jojoba beads gently scrub away dead cells. The day and night cream soften skin and lock in moisture.
Touch-up Concealer Pen – While I love the foundation, I love the concealer even more. It hides blemishes so well and reduces fine lines and dark circles under your eyes. As a mom gone are the days of spending countless time getting ready. I only have a couple minutes to put on make-up, so quick and easy is where I’m at.
Brow Pencil – Defining your brows is all the rage lately. The brow pencil was developed to make your brows appear thick and natural, yet polished. The pencil goes on smooth and blends easily with a built-in brush wand.
Lip Stick – A lot of lipsticks have chemicals such as formaldehyde and I love using Beautycounter lipstick knowing I’m not eating toxic chemicals. The shades are beautiful and they actually have real vanilla beans in them.
